Debating Lesson Plan 1

Each lesson plan in this 'Debating' series includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this lesson plan students begin to understand what an argument is and how to state their position. They will be introduced to the concept of sometimes having to argue the opposite of what they actually believe in, before completing the For and Against Statements worksheet.
