What is sustainability?
This engaging lesson plan contains a learning outcome, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation, resources, learning sequences and a conclusion. The lesson focuses on gaining an awareness of what sustainability is. After introducing the basic concepts of the lesson, the class works through a think-pair-share exercise to explore the cost, impact, opportunity's and relationships that arise out of a sustainability topic. The last task requires students to write statements in groups for each sustainability aspect for a second topic! The lesson concludes with students taking time to fill out their learning log.
