The silent e Cover

The silent e

This unit has a variety of tasks to reinforce students' understanding of the silent e or 'magic e' with long vowels. The first task requires students to complete the table, reading and writing the words in the left hand column that have no magic e, then doing the same with the right hand column words that have a magic e. Task 2 requires students to group words based on their long vowels while Task 3 has students identify rhyming words or words with the same long vowel in a game. Students also have the opportunity to create a rap and design a poster.
