How apostrophes work

A short story + language tasks

This unit consists of a text about a girl's first time on a roller coaster and worksheets focussed on apostrophe usage. The first worksheet askes students to identify apostrophes in an excerpt of the text, before analysing whether each example shows ownership or represents missing words. Worksheet 2 and 3 focus on these two characteristics respectively, while the final task is a reminder that apostrophe usage affects the formality of language.
