Identify clauses

This unit consists of a short text about two sisters who have made a contract, and worksheets focussed on recognising clauses. The first worksheet gives students an explanation of clauses then has two exercises in which students need to identify verbs and clauses from excerpts within the text. The second worksheet focuses on identifying main clauses; the third on subordinate clauses. The final tasks in this unit reinforce students understanding of clauses and their properties.
