Identify a phrase

This unit consists of a short text about a boy who is trying to remember where he lost something important, and worksheets focussed on recognising phrases. The first worksheet gives students an explanation of phrases then an exercise on identifying phrases in excerpts from the text. The second worksheet focuses on using phrases to add more detail; the third on using phrases like adjectives. Students learn about the way a phrase can fill in details about how, when, where or why something is done in Worksheet 4.
