Use comparative mathematics language

In this unit students revise using comparative mathematics language and ordering times. The first task shows the finishing times for three students in the school's cross country. Students must answer questions about who was the fastest and the slowest. Next, students complete a table about Aroha's reading speed and answer a question about who reads faster: George or Aroha? In the third activity, students have the opportunity to work with a partner and record the results of a list of tasks. The students must then write a sentence for each tasks that summarises their findings. The final activity in this unit requires students to number rows of runners from slowest to fastest based on the given times.
